The Saint Petersburg Contemporary Music Center will host a performance of Rupture along with works by John Cage, Elliott Carter, Augusta Read Thomas, and other American composers at a concert at the annual Saint Petersburg International New Music Festival.  Performing the work will be Saint Petersburg’s own PRO-ARTE eNsemble.  The concert is supported by the Aaron Copland Fund for Music.

NANOworks Opera Company will present Layover in two free public performances as part of Classical Revolution Cincinnati.  Titled “Layover Overlay,” the event will feature another one-act comic opera by the same name written by composer Sarah Hersh and librettist Brad Fairchild.  What’s more, the librettist for my Layover, Katherine Krueger, will perform one of the soprano roles in Hersh’s Layover.  It’s all so wonderfully complicated!
